We’re past the shortest day of the year, which means the Kerikeri Street Party committee starts to ramp up organisation for street party 2016. Yes, that’s us in the rather fetching photo attached to this news post.
Each year the number of attendees continues to increase – something that we are really chuffed about. Not even the threat of inclement weather keeps visitors and locals away. Of course, it means that each year we need to find something fresh and new to keep you all entertained! So this year we have a few irons in the fire and we think you’ll find a good reason to attend.
As always we will shortly be inviting local business and individuals to sponsor a VIP (Very Important Partygoers) table. These are always positioned under the eaves along the street, so you are under cover in the odd event of a downpour, and of course you can enjoy your food and wine in seated comfortable whilst everyone else tries to juggle a falafel, a glass and wine and the hand of a three-year-old all at once.
Please consider sponsoring us by purchasing a VIP table! Everyone gets to decorate their table – a fantastic promo opportunity for your business – and the best table gets their money refunded. How good is that?
The street party is a community, volunteer organised event that relies on local business offering services for free or reduced rates, incoming from street stall spaces, donations and grants from community focused organisations and finally the VIP tables. Entrance to the street party stills remains free, and we fully intend to keep it that way!
