Meet Tweetle Dum and Tweetle Dee! Our two fine feathered friends will be encouraging young and old to TWEET whilst you’re partying at this year’s Kerikeri Street Party. The Tweetles kick off the evening entertainment, greeting youngsters at the gateway and around the party grounds for the early part of the evening. Make sure you have your youngsters do a boogie and tweet along with the tweetles!
Our fantastic band line up this includes ska/reggae/dub band Strangely Arousing performing their eclectic approach to different genres and musical styles on stage central (opposite the clock), last year’s hit The Legacy Band playing your favourite covers from past and present, and the cool, cool sound of respected trio Julian Brady (guitar), Makareta Umbers (vocals) and Matt Watson (keys/trumpet) performing smooth jazz and soul numbers at Kool Korner (east).
For a splash of colour at moments you least expect it, DDF Dance Studioz will be crashing the party with hot dance routines at locations at Party Point (west) and Party Central, whilst elegant piroueting performers from the Northland Dance Academy, will do their best to temp you along to their upcoming Nutcracker performances in December during interludes at Kool Korner (east).
Oh! Did we mention the 27 food stalls with something to tempt every appetite and budget? Or the 13 wine and boutique beer stalls? Something for everyone! So make sure you’re there for this free-entry event from 5pm to 9pm in Kerikeri main street.
