Come Rain or Shine the Party Goes On

Since its inception 4 years ago the Kerikeri Street party has enjoyed memorable weather conditions.  The first 3 years sunny and warm. But last year it poured down.  But did that stop the party?   ABSOLUTELY NOT.  Dancing in the rain was the order of the day and everyone still had a wonderful family social evening in the main street of Kerikeri. ‘The big learning we took away from last year’s party was to locate the tables under the shop overhangs.  This year we shall be repeating this which gives the added bonus of more space for the dancing’ said Geoff Tilley one of the organising Committee members.  ‘Of course we hope for the sun to do it’s thing to accompany the 3 bands, food stalls selling the best of Northland food, plus wine stalls selling wine from our local vineyards.’ This years party starts at 5pm on Saturday 16th November (that’s the same day as the Kerikeri 1/2 marathon) in the middle of Kerikeri come rain or shine. Put the date and time into your diary, you don’t want to miss this biggest event in Kerikeri’s social calender. If you would like to sponsor a table or reserve a table for your own group or family please contact Geoff on 094078288 or use our contact...
